Compensation Manager, Consumer Incentive

Job Overview
The Compensation Manager is responsible for developing, administering and governing incentive-based compensation programs for T-Mobile’s frontline workforce in our Consumer organization. In this role, you’ll partner closely with HR, Commissions, HR Operations, Field Leadership and other cross-functional teams to design competitive, compliant and cost-effective incentive plans that drive performance in retail, care and field channels. Key accountabilities include market research and pay-plan architecture, end-to-end incentive program design, governance and communications, and the day-to-day operations and reporting for frontline incentive compensation.

** The preferred location is Overland Park, KS, but we are also open to Bellevue, WA. This is a hybrid role (3 days in the office) **

Job Requirements:

Support compensation program and process design, management, and analysis in a variety of ways which may include:

  • Compensation plan management (changes to base pay, incentive compensation plan, etc.)
  • Compensation evaluation and analysis (job analysis, evaluation and classification, survey participation, market pricing, policy benchmark and review, regulatory compliance, etc.)
  • Guidance on annual compensation review & planning cycle, compensation program features, plans, and updates, education materials, training facilitation, compensation statements, etc.)
  • Vendor management (consultants for market pricing system, custom salary surveys, etc.)
  • Incentive compensation execution and governance (analysis, systems requirements, legal reviews, audits, etc.)
  • Data, analytics & dashboards (market insights and analytics, data audits, compensation dashboards, etc.)
  • Program and document management (centralized repository for compensation policies, guidelines and tools, content management platforms, etc.)
  • Project Management (planning and execution of project for compensation organization).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors' Degree and 4-7 years incentive compensation experience, including designing, administering and analyzing compensation programs, job evaluation, market pricing, and pay structure development.
  • Experience working in Workday and market pricing systems a plus.
  • Broad-based compensation experience a plus.
  • Broad HR knowledge a plus.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization, including preparing executive-ready materials and facilitating cross-functional collaboration.
  • Proven success in identifying inefficiencies, streamlining workflows, and implementing improvements that drive operational excellence.
  • Consistently delivers high-quality work with strong accuracy, particularly in data handling and documentation. Comfortable working with large datasets, generating insights, and building reports to support decision-making and strategy.
  • Experience coordinating or leading projects, managing timelines, resources, and deliverables to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Solid command of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint for business communications and reporting; strong proficiency in Excel functions such as pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data visualization, and formula-based analysis.
  • CCP or CSCP a plus

Base Pay Range: $81,900 - $147,800

Corporate Bonus Target: 15%

The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.

At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year.
