Consumer Insights Manager

** This is not a remote position. T-Mobile is a hybrid work environment requiring work in the office three (3) days per week. The successful candidate will be located in either the greater Seattle, Washington, Fisco, Texas or Overland Park, Kansas areas.**

Job Overview
This position is responsible for delivering competitive insights to T-Mobile Marketing and other internal business owners by monitoring, analyzing, and synthesizing the marketing strategies and go-to-market tactics of key competitors. This role will support one or more of the following lines of business: Broadband, Postpaid Business, Postpaid Consumer, Prepaid. Assists Senior Manager and Director with communicating competitive insights and influencing business decisions.

T-Mobile requires U.S. citizenship for certain roles within the organization. This role requires U.S. citizenship. Individuals hired into this role will be required to submit documentation proving U.S. citizenship within the first 7 days of hire - failure to do so will result in termination.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Monitors, collects, and analyzes competitors’ pricing, promotions, products and other marketing actions through surveillance of competitor’s websites, advertising, customer communications and other publicly available sources of information.
  • Monitors and analyzes customer preferences, market trends and other macro factors that could impact the competitive environment.
  • Analyzes and synthesizes available primary and secondary research to understand trends in the competitive landscape.
  • Assists with ad-hoc and periodic competitive assessments requested by marketing and other internal stakeholders.
  • Effectively communicates conclusions and recommendations in a format suitable for senior management that meet requirements for technical rigor, conciseness and actionability.
  • Builds effective working relationships and works collaboratively with key internal teams.

Work Experience

  • 3-5 years of experience of analytical or research experience (Required)
  • 3-5 years of professional experience in role with demonstrated ability to research specific topics and deliver insights that answer or address specific business or customer questions (Required)
  • 3-5 years of experience working collaboratively in a team environment (Required)
  • 3-5 years of competitive intelligence or marketing research experience. (Preferred)
  • 3-5 years of experience working in one or more of the following industries: wireless, broadband/internet, consumer electronics or technology. (Preferred)
  • 3-5 years direct interaction and working collaboratively with marketing or sales professionals. (Preferred)

    Base Pay Range: $78,300 - $141,300

    Corporate Bonus Target: 15%

    The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.

    At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year.
