Step into the future with T-Mobile! We’re seeking an energetic and solutions-driven Corporate Counsel – Land Use and Siting Advocacy Legal to join our All-Star Legal Team. This pivotal role will collaborate with T-Mobile’s Network & Engineering department and the Government Affairs team to implement nationwide siting advocacy strategies that promote wireless infrastructure deployment.
The attorney in this role will provide legal support on nationwide land use, zoning, and permitting matters, as well as local and state ordinances, rules, and regulations relating to wireless siting. Operating with a nationwide strategic scope, this role often requires navigating challenges at the local municipal level. The successful candidate must interpret federal, state, and local laws and regulations while understanding the goals and challenges of deploying a wireless network across the expansive and complex U.S. market. They will use this knowledge to guide the business toward effective strategies and tactics for timely, cost-efficient wireless network deployment.
This role involves understanding complex local politics, developing relationships with key players nationwide, and balancing T-Mobile’s objectives with local jurisdictional challenges to deliver a superior wireless network for customers. What you’ll do in your role.
- Strategic Problem Solver: Implement siting advocacy strategies and tactics for deploying wireless infrastructure nationwide.
- Legal Analysis Expert: Review, analyze, and work to influence existing and proposed local ordinances and codes to facilitate wireless infrastructure deployment. Serve as a subject matter expert on state and federal laws and regulations impacting wireless siting.
- Advocacy Network Builder: Partner with and assist in building a national network of lobbyists and external advocacy specialists to further T-Mobile’s development interests. Coordinate activities with the Government Affairs team to ensure alignment.
- Trainer and Educator: Co-create and present land use training materials; conduct training sessions for T-Mobile attorneys, development teams, and vendors. Establish and share best practices to drive consistency and efficiency across regions.
- Community Engagement Strategist: Provide strategic guidance to Government Affairs and external affairs experts to generate community support for network development. Provide support on land use application challenges and establish actionable administrative records. Educate and advocate for the adoption of applicable federal laws at local and state levels.
- Legal Tactician: Analyze relevant laws and shot clocks to address zoning and permitting delays, providing actionable recommendations. Draft and assist in negotiating real estate transaction documents impacting T-Mobile’s land use requirements.
- Infrastructure Advocate: Facilitate (via negotiation and/or legislative changes) the siting of wireless infrastructure within public rights-of-way.
- Legal Subject Matter Expert: Serve as the expert in land use litigation, with a deep understanding of laws, regulations, and case law
The Experience You’ll Bring:
- Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school and admission to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
- 2-4 years of in-house and/or law firm real estate experience.
- Expertise in federal telecommunications law, as well as state and local laws governing macro and small cell facilities in public rights-of-way and pole attachments.
- Strong time management skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Proven ability to collaborate with other legal and business professionals, with a focus on identifying efficiencies and delivering results.
- Results-oriented and customer-focused.
- Ability to work efficiently, managing multiple clients routinely under tight time constraints, managing a high-volume workload, meeting demanding deadlines, and balancing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional maturity and the ability to interact with senior leaders.
- Strong drafting and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent legal research and analytical skills, with experience managing and advising on complex legal matters.

Base Pay Range: $123,200 - $222,200Corporate Bonus Target: 15%
The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.
At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance.
