This position leads a team of seasoned insights professionals and drives the research learning agenda for the entire TMUS enterprise, supporting senior leaders across all lines of business (postpaid, prepaid, home internet, B2B, etc.) and functional domains (product, channels, marketing, etc.). They will serve as an expert in consumer and marketing insights, with a strong grasp of marketing, strategy and product applications (ensuring the insights are high-impact for our partner teams). They will also be able to share unique view points based on broad research experience across a deep array of methodologies while also bringing new techniques to the forefront. Critical to this individual’s success will be effectively leading within and outside of their organization, inspiring the insights organization and partner teams while also driving efficient and highly effective vendor relationships. This team is responsible for being the voice of the customer, for inspiring the organization through competitive / outside-of-category insights, and to deeply internalize our business needs to design our insights learning agenda and proactively supply insights that address them.TMUS is enjoying three days a week in office collaboration!
Job Responsibilities:
- Serve as an inspiring leader and trusted consultant while influencing decisions at the highest levels of the company.
- Collaborate with a wide variety of teams across the enterprise to translate critical business questions into custom research designs, analytical plans, and answers.
- Set our research innovation vision and plans – spearheading the adoption of new technologies and digital tools to drive speed, efficiencies, and insights dissemination across the company.
- Synthesize insights, analytics, and other sources for strategic POVs on a range of topics such as changing network perceptions, implications of changing media behavior, or brand elasticity into new categories.
- Lead a team in conducting primary research including writing requests for proposals, selecting and managing suppliers, drafting surveys and moderator guides, forming methodological recommendations, analyzing data, and interpreting results.
- Develop and coach research professionals to ensure each member acquires appropriate skills and project-based experiences to foster ongoing, professional development.
Education and Work Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Market Research, Psychology, Marketing, Neuroscience, or equivalent required; Master's/Advanced Degree highly desired
- More than 10 years Marketing research experience on consumer products and experimental research design experience and training
- Experience partnering with senior management and outside vendors in understanding needs and driving knowledge/insights through the organization
- Experience leading a team of professionals in similar positions
- Ability to independently produce executive communications at a high level and apply storytelling to portray the well-rounded view of research findings and implications, and implement, modify, or reject strategies
- Ability to strongly and consultatively communicate research insights and implications to influence and drive business decision-making; passion for synthesizing market intelligence to construct a strategic vision of the future
- Strong financial and analytical skills to enable solid business judgement

Base Pay Range: $176,000 - $238,200Corporate Bonus Target: 25%
The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as qualifications and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year.
