Engineers, Software located in Frisco, TX will create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture and assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional and non-functional business requirements.Position duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional and non-functional business requirements.
Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements, including automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, and re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability.
Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL and AZURE technologies.
Build analytics tools that utilize the data pipeline to provide actionable insights into customer acquisition, operational efficiency, and other key business performance metrics.
Work with stakeholders including the executive, product, data, and design teams to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs.
Create data tools for analytics and data scientist team members that assist them in building and optimizing our product into an innovative industry leader.
Work with data and analytics experts to strive for greater functionality in our data systems.
Telecommuting is permitted, but applicants must live within a reasonable commuting distance.
Skill requirements:
(1) Writing complex SQL language on variety of relational database systems, including Snowflake, Teradata, Oracle, and SQL server.
(2) Designing and building data sets, data marts, data warehouses both traditional on-premises and on cloud DB platform to store data needed by business operation teams and business modeling teams.
(3) Developing data ingestion/data manipulation/data extraction programs and applications using programming languages such as Python, Scala, Java, JavaScript, etc. to support business needs.
(4) Understanding and practicing Agile methodologies in software development life cycle and using tools such as Jira, Jira Align, Gits as part of the practices.
(5) Performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and process to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement.
(6) Leveraging cloud technology with Azure and utilizing services with Azure Databrick, ADLS, and Azure Data Factory to build data pipeline and store data in data mart/data warehouse to support business operations such as reporting and analytic works.
Experience and education requirements:
PRIMARY REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree in Business Analytics, Engineering, Computer Science or related, and 1 year of relevant work experience.
ALTERNATIVE REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Engineering, Computer Science or related, and 3 years of relevant work experience.

Candidate’s pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience. At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance.
