Entertainment Marketing Manager

The Entertainment Marketing team is chartered with bringing the T-Mobile brand story to life through partnerships, content and live experiences at the national and local levels including strategic development, creative ideation, planning, execution and measurement of sponsorships and tentpole events.

The Entertainment Marketing Manager will handle day-to-day management and execution of the T-Mobile Spotlight celebrity, athlete, talent and influencer program including planning, implementation and measurement, as well as other key entertainment partnerships as they arise. This person will be responsible for identifying, negotiating, contracting and leading talent relationships that support the overall entertainment strategy and T-Mobile’s brand and business priorities using sound business rationale, consumer insights, and other business information.

The individual should have a consistent record of talent and influencer management, working cross-functionally with teams like Media, Social and more to build and implement integrated marketing plans that exceeded business goals, and a demonstrated ability to work effectively with internal and external partners. The individual should have their finger on the pulse of culture and be creative and collaborative in their work to help bring priority messages to life via can’t-miss cultural moments and strategic talent partnerships.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and implement the Spotlight talent + influencer program across the full lifecycle from briefing through measurement to support brand and business growth.
  • Support entertainment and talent campaigns across all T-Mobile lines of business including evaluations of new opportunities as requested / briefed by business units.
  • Planning and execution of additional entertainment marketing sponsorships / activations as needed.
  • Day to day management of entertainment agencies.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key internal and external partners.
  • Also responsible for other Duties/Projects as assigned by business management as needed.

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Experience in entertainment, talent or sponsorships marketing on behalf of a big brand.
  • Experience negotiating and handling dynamic talent / influencer relationships. Experience driving talent partnerships at sports and/or entertainment sponsorship events.
  • General understanding of the entertainment and celebrity talent landscape and key players; Experience working with music properties and agencies.
  • Experience in cross-functional program development and execution with an emphasis in social media, brand, PR and media exposure.
  • General understanding of and/or experience in the wireless industry a plus.
  • Ability to develop a comprehensive marketing plan that involves multiple partners and channels.
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to successfully oversee campaign asset development, talent reviews/approvals and implementation.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), thorough, proactive nature with creative thinking abilities and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to plan near-term and longer-term partnership initiatives; ability to lead multiple fast-paced campaigns at once.
  • Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or a related field.

Base Pay Range: $73,600 - $132,800

Corporate Bonus Target: 15%

The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.

At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year.
