Job Overview
As a Field Sales Executive, Government Programs, you will be responsible for supporting the growth of City Advantage, throughout Metro NYC. Your primary duties include selling to these accounts, onboarding/offboarding Individual Liable accounts associated with the government contract, increasing customer satisfaction, and driving revenue growth. Your performance will be evaluated based on your ability to meet sales expectations and maintain high job performance through various business-building metrics. You will consistently align your work with T-Mobile's core values.

In this role, you will leverage your government sales experience along with your skills in customer-centric focus, change and innovation, strategic thinking, relationship building, influencing, results orientation, contract negotiations, and prospecting to meet or exceed sales targets. You will be responsible for generating new sales opportunities and managing existing customer accounts.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Sales and Business Development: Identify, engage, and close new business opportunities. Promote T-Mobile wireless plans with exclusive government employee pricing. Proactively attend government agency events, benefits fairs, and outreach programs to increase awareness and drive sales. Act as a brand ambassador maintaining high levels of in-person engagement with government employees and decision-makers. Conduct informative presentations and live demonstrations showcasing T-Mobile’s solutions and advantages over competitors. Sell the full suite of T-Mobile solutions, identifying pain points and creating tailored solutions for government employees and agencies. Negotiate agreements and contract renewals with government agencies to maintain and expand partnerships.
  • Customer Support and Account Management: Serve as a primary point of contact for government employees, ensuring a seamless customer experience from initial sale to ongoing support. Assist customers in selecting the best plans, activating services, and managing accounts. Address and resolve customer inquiries, billing concerns, and service issues efficiently to maintain high customer satisfaction. Work cross-functionally with internal teams including Account Management, Dedicated Care, and Customer Support to optimize the customer lifecycle. Develop and execute account strategies to improve customer retention and increase revenue. Lead customer presentations and participate in networking events to strengthen client relationships
  • Operational Efficiency and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales performance, customer interactions, and outreach efforts using Salesforce and other CRM Tools. Regularly analyze performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and optimize sales strategies. Stay up-to-date with T-Mobile’s latest promotions, policies, and technological advancements to provide the most relevant information to clients. Work cross-functionally with internal teams including Operations, Marketing, Legal, Compliance, Government Affairs, and Pricing. Continually improve knowledge of products, services, and sales methodologies through training and development programs.
  • Professionalism: Demonstrate positive and cooperative behavior with customers and coworkers in team meetings and other internal meetings. Demonstrate personal leadership in consistently maintaining high standards for ethical and professional conduct.


Education and Work Experience:

  • High School Diploma/GED (Required)
  • Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)
  • Business markets sales experience. Required
  • Selling to Government (State and Local) accounts. Required
  • Extensive customer service experience. Required
  • Wireless industry sales experience. Preferred
  • Telesales or technical sales experience. Preferred

  • Communication Strong verbal and written communication skills are crucial for customer interactions, presenting solutions, and team collaboration. Clear and persuasive communication builds customer relationships and closes sales. (Required)
  • Presentations Ability to create and deliver compelling presentations to potential and existing customers. This involves using visual aids and clear messaging to effectively convey the value of products and services. (Required)
  • Problem Solving and Analysis Analyze and resolve complex issues efficiently by interpreting data to identify trends and inform decision-making. (Required)
  • Building Relationships Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders. (Required)
  • Negotiation Skillfully negotiate terms and agreements to achieve favorable outcomes. (Required)
  • Customer Service Provide exceptional service to build and maintain customer relationships. (Required)
  • Technical and Inside Sale Experience in selling technical products and services, especially solutions, through phone and other communication channels. (Preferred)
  • CRM and Microsoft Office Proficiency in using CRM systems such as Salesforce to manage customer interactions and sales activities, along with strong skills in Microsoft Office products, especially Excel, for data analysis and reporting. (Required)

    Total Target Cash Pay Range: $88,900 - $160,300, inclusive of target incentives

    Base Pay Range: $53,340 - $96,180

    The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in this role. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.
