Finance Manager (Capital Markets – Securitization Operations)

*This is NOT a remote role. This position is located in Overland Park, KS.

The Finance Manager will be a key resource for securitization within the Treasury organization’s Capital Markets Team. They will be responsible for monitoring, on-going operations, and reporting on the current securitization deals as well as future deals including the completion of impact assessments for new T-Mobile initiatives. The Finance Manager will provide guidance to leadership on ways to improve the securitization portfolio and add efficiencies to our current processes. They will be involved in the annual bank, regulatory, and external T-Mobile audits, including SOX control creation and documentation. This is an individual contributor role.

  • Act as the liaison to Accounting and other business partners during contract changes and transaction issuances
  • Responsible for gathering & validating securitization data and ensuring the systems adhere to all aspects of a new or existing contract
  • Play a key role in current securitization deal management and issuance of public ABS notes including impact assessment on potential business changes
  • Find opportunities to improve and automate our reporting and operational requirements related to the securitization deals
  • Develop, interpret, and implement financial concepts for financial planning and control the departmental operating and capital budgets and forecasts
  • Use statistical and financial modeling techniques to analyze results and variances and identify underlying causes, opportunities, and risks. Provide actionable insights around trends and financial performance. Present findings to leadership, including suggestions for course correction
  • Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations to project future revenues and expenses to forecast P&L and Balance Sheet Impacts of Securitization for Bad Debt
  • Survey operations to ascertain accounting needs and to recommend, develop, or maintain solutions to business and financial problems for Bad Debt and Securitization
  • Provide internal and external auditing support to assist with the completion of annual Agreed Upon Procedures for Securitization and SOX controls
  • Use analytical and modeling capability to perform scenario and sensitivity analysis to enhance decision making across a range of options and present findings
  • Measure key performance indicators and benchmarking results across accounts, markets, business units, and channels and communicate results to leadership via dashboards and reports
  • Work internally and with strategic partners to ensure processes and procedures are in place for proper accounting controls and audits including SOX documentation

Qualifications

Minimum Required

  • Minimum of 7-10 years in accounting, finance, business or project management experience
  • Less than 2years Wireless Telecom or Financial Services experience
  • Understanding of Finance and Accounting principles. Knowledge of financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
  • Highly proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint. Advanced MS Excel modeling skills and applied business statistics
  • Ability to work independently and with limited supervision, manage multiple priorities

  • 2+ years Wireless Telecom or Financial Services experience
  • Securitization experience

Education
Minimum Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree. Finance, Business Administration, Management, Accounting, Economics
  • Master's degree preferred

Base Pay Range: $86,300 - $155,700

Corporate Bonus Target: 15%

The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.

At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year.
