Government Account Executive

Position Overview: The Account Executive, Government Sales position is crucial in supporting the growth of State and Local Government accounts. The primary responsibilities include selling to State and Local accounts, renewing contracts, increasing customer satisfaction, and improving revenue while driving customer retention activity. Performance is evaluated based on sales expectations and maintaining a high level of job performance through various metrics focused on building the business. All tasks should align with T-Mobile's core values.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Utilize contact lists to call leads and generate sales opportunities. 
  • Exceed monthly sales, renewal, and churn target goals. 
  • Welcome customers to T-Mobile, review service agreements, answer questions, and identify additional business opportunities. 
  • Maintain monthly call goals as set by expectations. 
  • Establish and nurture customer relationships to drive sales and expand the customer base. 
  • Conduct customer account maintenance following account reviews. 
  • Provide account analysis to determine up-sell and renewal offers. 
  • Manage and resolve customer issues. 
  • Track individual account activity and results. 
  • Perform extensive data entry, system navigation, and utilization. 
  • Conduct independent analysis and decision-making related to information. 
  • Ensure accuracy and efficiency in data entry. 
  • Complete ongoing training to maintain knowledge of products, services, and sales approaches. 
  • Utilize automated knowledge systems and training tools to deliver outstanding service, meeting T-Mobile’s efficiency and quality standards. 
  • Achieve efficiency and sales goals based on targeted metrics. 
  • Meet or exceed all departmental goals and business objectives. 
  • Exhibit positive and collaborative behavior with customers and coworkers. 
  • Demonstrate personal leadership by maintaining high standards for ethical and professional conduct. 
  • Disburse adjustments and credits as appropriate within established limits and criteria. 
  • Fulfill other duties and projects as assigned by business management as needed. 

Education:

  • High School Diploma/GED (Required)
  • Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)

Work Experience:

  • 2-4 years selling to State and Local Government accounts required. 
  • 2 years of extensive business customer support experience required. 
  • 2 years of business sales experience required. 
  • Wireless industry sales experience preferred. 
  • Technical sales experience preferred. 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and business analysis skills required. 

  • Experience crafting and delivering presentations required. 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required. 

• At least 18 years of age
• Legally authorized to work in the United States

Total Target Cash Pay Range: $104,400 - $188,400, inclusive of target incentives

Base Pay Range: $62,640 - $113,040

The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in this role. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.
