Managers, Software Development located in Bothell, WA will lead a staff of Individual Contributors who will establish and help in building a solid DevOps environment.

Position duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Serve as the application subject matter expert, collaborating with various application owners and stakeholders to drive critical enhancements, including FICO credit checks, loan and lease eligibility services, order-to-cash processes, and inventory management.

  • Leverage software development best practices and telecom industry expertise to deliver results-driven solutions, ensuring they serve as a replicable corporate knowledge resource to support project-level initiatives and inform executive decision-making.

  • Apply experience with Java, J2EE, Container frameworks (Docker, Pivotal, Kubernetes), JavaScript React, SAP PI to Java applications, RabbitMQ, Oracle, MS SQL, and MySQL Database applications.

  • Provide expert analysis on security of APIs/Microservices, including SSL, TLS, OAUTH, Java web token, public-private key infrastructure, and security certificate technologies for credit applications and systems.

  • Work with the lines of business, Architects, Dev Leads and technology areas to oversee & build software solutions based on existing standards and processes that meet the strategic needs of the business and integrate with other business and IT Processes.

  • Drive operational efficiency via data extraction, quantification, integrity, and improvements using Splunk, AppDynamics, Grafana and SQL.

  • Execute on overall direction, guidance and definition of Credit to effectively support business strategy.

  • Recommend new technology directions in collaboration with Design & DevOps teams.

  • Oversee software development lifecycle from strategy, intake, through build/delivery pipeline with focus on infrastructure and operations.

  • Interview, hire, and develop top diverse talent team of Architects, Product Owners, Engineers, and Operational Analysts to improve T-Mobile bench strength and augment product and project teams with contract staff.

  • Manage team to achieve results by providing appropriate direction, timely developmental feedback and coaching, and conducting performance reviews and conversations.

  • May require up to 10% of domestic overnight travel to/from the Bellevue Headquarters and other satellite offices where the geographically distributed teams are located Atlanta (GA), Frisco (TX).

Skill requirements:

  • (1) Managing software projects at large organizations with multiple teams using agile management tools (Trac, Jira/Confluence, and Rally).

  • (2) Managing E2E solution delivery using tools like Jira, Gitlab and Kubernetes, leading requirement analysis with SWOT analysis, overseeing architecture with lucid, and resolving critical issues via cross-team collaboration using qTest, Confluence.

  • (3) Experience with credit and financial systems, managing Credit Risk, FinCo, and SOX business stakeholders, and supervising subject matter experts.

  • (4) Working with data security including compliance standards (SOX, CPNI, PCI, PII etc.) and protocols (SSL/TLS, OAuth, MTLS).

  • (5) Using Java, J2EE, Container frameworks (Docker, Pivotal, Kubernetes), JavaScript React, SAP PI to Tibco integration, SAP PI to Java applications, Oracle, MS SQL, and MySQL Database applications.

  • (6) Working with software frameworks including Spring, REST, JDBC, JMS, FTP/sFTP, and Webservices; protocols including SOAP, HTTP, and HTTPs; CI/CD integration and methodologies and version control systems including GIT, Jenkins.

Experience and education requirements:

PRIMARY REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree in mechanical engineering, Science, Technology, Engineering, Math or related, and 3 years of relevant work experience.

ALTERNATIVE REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Science, Technology, Engineering, Math or related, and 5 years of relevant work experience.

OTHER: Work hours: 40 hours/week. Washington Pay Range: $190,486.00 to $240,200.00/year.

The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the state listed. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience.
