Project Manager, Construction

Job Overview
In this position, you will oversee financial budgets, coordinate with General Contractors, and manage the overall construction process. You will also be in charge of organizing schedules and communicating the schedule out to the local field support teams, tracking inventory, and ordering/managing materials. Construction Project Managers supervise construction projects from beginning to end, ensuring that projects are completed within time and budgetary constraints. An understanding of the construction business and the ability to work under deadlines in a fast-paced environment are important for career success. The Construction Project Manager will typically handle 12-15 construction projects at a time at various stages of construction, and will be responsible to accept the retail space from the Landlord, complete fixture punchlist, complete GC punchlist, and turn the completed space over to the local Store Management Team.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Compile and plan budget, cost estimates, and other financial estimates
  • Develop construction project with architect, LL, GC, and trade workers
  • Coordinate, plan, and manage schedules for contractors and subcontractors
  • Oversee and supervise construction project progress and provide reports on timeline, progress, and adjustments
  • Ensure all legal requirements, building and safety codes, safety inspections, city guidelines, and local and state regulations are met
  • Coordinate with Local Field Sales team and communicate timeline expectations and store opening date
  • Track individual project budgets to ensure that each project is completed on time and within budget
  • Be present for acceptance of the space from the LL, perform fixture punch/50% walk-through, and final punchlist/turnover of the store to local market


Education and Work Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree 5 years experience paired with another degree may be considered. (Required)
  • 3 years experience as a Construction Manager or in a similar position in construction management. Required


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Accurate and precise attention to detail. Able to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions. (Required)
  • In-depth understanding of the construction industry. (Required)
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently. Self-motivated and self-directed (Required)
  • Able to build solid relationships with team members, vendors, and customers. (Required)
  • Organized and able to create multiple timelines, budgets, and schedules. (Required)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office; Microsoft Project and experience with Project Management software. (Preferred)
  • Knowledge of how local, state, and federal building code regulations work. (Preferred)


Licenses and Certifications:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) (Preferred)

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States

Base Pay Range: $71,100 - $128,200

Corporate Bonus Target: 10%

The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.

At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year.
