We're looking for a Sr Software Engineer-Data who brings strong technical judgment, a product-oriented mindset, and the ability to own data solutions end-to-end—from architecture and modeling to implementation and delivery—in a dynamic AdTech environment.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop data engineering solutions, design and develop data pipelines to support Product, business and Data Science teams specific data needs.
  • Design and develop data architectures in on-premise, cloud and hybrid platforms
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including product, security, privacy, operations, and partners—to understand data needs, define and deliver features, model data using relational and NoSQL systems, and develop pipelines that are scalable, repeatable, secure, and aligned with data quality standards.
  • Drive automation and optimization of data workflows using AI/ML techniques.
  • Mentor other team members in their efforts to build data engineering skillsets
  • Assist team management in defining projects, including helping estimate, plan and scope work

Work Experience

  • 5+  years of experience in designing and building scalable data systems, including both batch and event driven data pipelines.
  • 3+  years of experience working with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra), including schema design, performance tuning, and optimization.
  • 2+ years of experience building and maintaining cloud-native data platforms using AWS, Azure, or GCP, with hands-on experience in services like Redshift, BigQuery, Snowflake, or Databricks.
  • 3+ years of experience implementing DevOps practices and infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation
  • Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, with experience building data tooling and APIs.
  • Solid understanding of distributed systemsdata modeling, and microservices architecture.
  • Familiarity with data security best practices, including encryption, access control, and privacy-forward design principles.
  • Passion for solving complex problems, learning new technologies, and enabling AI innovation through robust data engineering

    Base Pay Range: $113,600 - $205,000

    Corporate Bonus Target: 15%

    The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.

    At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year.
