About the Role
T-Mobile is on a mission to create a new retail category—blending physical, human, and digital elements to deliver seamless, personalized customer experiences that drive durable brand differentiation. As part of the Retail Innovation & Steering team, the Sr. Business Strategy Manager will help shape this transformation by delivering strategic insights, identifying tactics for reshaping consumer behavior, and enabling execution through data-driven recommendations. By deeply understanding consumer behavior, market trends, and competitive dynamics, the Sr. Business Strategy Manager will help craft a forward-looking retail strategies that position T-Mobile as an industry and category leader.
Reporting to the Director of Retail Intelligence, this high-impact individual contributor role supports T-Mobile’s broader goals to drive app-led (T-Life) engagement, increase Experience Store differentiation, and elevate the customer journey across all retail touchpoints. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally to define strategy, analyze experimentation market outcomes, inform traffic steering decisions, and evaluate fulfillment innovations that deepen customer relationships and maximize lifetime value.
This role is ideal for a strategic thinker with analytical depth and a passion for influencing transformation through insights.
Key Responsibilities
Shape strategic recommendations that support retail transformation initiatives including traffic steering, retail format performance, fulfillment expansion, and mobile-led customer engagement.
Support development and optimization of experimentation markets by evaluating store performance, customer behavior, and local trends to guide scaling strategies.
Conduct deep analysis on customer behavior, service traffic patterns, retail channel usage, and conversion outcomes to identify opportunity areas.
Partner with leaders in Analytics, Field Sales, Marketing, and Operations to inform business strategy and assess impact of key transformation initiatives.
Evaluate the performance and contribution of new fulfillment experiences and CRM tactics across the retail ecosystem.
Translate complex analyses into clear business narratives and executive-ready deliverables that drive decision-making.
Collaborate closely with the Director of Retail Intelligence on consultant partnerships, competitive insights, and market trend analysis to support innovation roadmaps.
Support measurement frameworks, dashboards, and KPIs that enable outcome-focused strategy implementation.
Qualifications
7+ years of experience in corporate strategy, business planning, innovation, or management consulting roles.
Demonstrated ability to structure complex problems, develop analytical frameworks, and translate insights into strategy.
Strong business acumen with experience evaluating channel performance, fulfillment models, or customer segmentation.
Advanced Excel/financial modeling and presentation skills; highly comfortable synthesizing and presenting data to senior audiences.
Ability to manage cross-functional workstreams and build relationships across Retail, Marketing, and Digital teams.
Experience in consumer-facing industries, ideally within technology, retail, or telecom.
Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.
At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance.
