Job Overview
The Senior Compensation Manager at T-Mobile plays a pivotal role in optimizing the effectiveness of the Compensation team, supporting Consumer group, focusing on the design and management of frameworks that facilitate the seamless implementation of our compensation programs. In this role, you will provide strategic consulting to ensure compensation strategies are aligned with organizational goals and senior leadership expectations. This role involves close collaboration with Compensation Managers and other internal partners to refine execution strategies and enhance plan designs. Through their expertise in prioritization and governance, they will transform organizational strategy into efficient, scalable processes that enhance the quality and effectiveness of the compensation lifecycle. Their contributions are crucial in advancing T-Mobile’s strategic management of employee compensation, directly supporting the company’s overarching goals and values. This individual will support both broad-based and variable incentive plans and should have existing experience in supporting both.

** The preferred location is Overland Park, KS, but we will also consider Bellevue, WA. This is also a hybrid role (3 days/week in the office). **

Job Responsibilities:

  • Designs and manages comprehensive compensation frameworks to support the implementation of compensation programs across the organization
  • Consults with leaders and senior leaders to align compensation strategies with organizational goals and leadership expectations.
  • Transforms organizational strategy into efficient, scalable processes that improve the compensation lifecycle.
  • Prioritizes and governs compensation-related projects to ensure alignment with strategic management objectives
  • Participates in other duties or projects as assigned by business management as needed

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in HR, Business, or related field; Master's Degree a plus
  • 5+ years Progressive experience in leading end-to-end development and redesign of compensation plans, including market study analysis and internal/external equity analysis
  • Proven ability to lead compensation-related projects from inception to implementation, aligning with strategic business goals and consulting closely with leadership to ensure success.
  • Exceptional attention to detail for developing, managing, and reviewing complex compensation plans and reports, ensuring accuracy and consistency across all processes.
  • Strong commitment to handle sensitive compensation information with utmost discretion, ensuring data privacy and maintaining organizational integrity at all times.
  • Skilled in negotiating and consulting on compensation matters, adept at balancing the needs of employees with the strategic objectives of the organization, and providing guidance to all levels of the business.
  • Strong communication skills crucial for effective partner engagement, capable of articulating compensation strategies and changes to both senior leadership and team members.
  • CCP, CSCP, or SPHR a plus

Base Pay Range: $102,200 - $184,400

Corporate Bonus Target: 20%

The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.

At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year.
