Job Overview
The Senior Director of Corporate Real Estate leads the strategic direction and operational management of T-Mobile’s corporate real estate portfolio to optimize space utilization, evolve workplace design, execute the sustainability strategy, and maximize portfolio performance. This role ensures workplace environments meet evolving business needs while delivering an exceptional employee experience. By integrating sustainable practices and innovative solutions, the Senior Director drives operational initiatives aligned with company goals and industry best practices. The position also focuses on fostering collaboration with key stakeholders, including executives, internal teams, and external partners, to implement forward-thinking real estate strategies. Ultimately, this role balances operational excellence, environmental stewardship, and employee workplace satisfaction.

  • Strategic Leadership & Portfolio Management: Develop and implement a comprehensive real estate strategy that supports corporate growth, efficiency, and operational needs. Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure the portfolio supports T-Mobile’s growth, innovation, and workforce needs while balancing financial and operational objectives. Optimize the use of real estate assets, identifying opportunities to reduce costs, improve space utilization, and drive long-term value.
  • Operational Excellence & Efficiency: Oversee the Facilities Management of the real estate portfolio to maintain high operational standards across all locations. Ensure facilities are run efficiently, cost-effectively, and aligned with employee needs. Lead initiatives to enhance the employee workplace experience, streamline processes, implement new technologies, and drive operational improvements that deliver measurable cost savings and improved performance.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of industry professionals. Foster a high-performance culture by encouraging professional development, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Ensure adherence to all company policies, legal regulations, and industry standards related to real estate operations. Proactively assess and address risks associated with real estate management, including safety, security, and regulatory compliance. Implement robust governance processes to maintain accountability and minimize exposure to potential liabilities. Regularly review and update policies to stay ahead of evolving laws and industry practices.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration & Leadership: Build strong relationships with senior executives, internal teams, and external partners to ensure alignment of real estate strategies with overall business priorities. Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership, providing insights and recommendations on real estate decisions. Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to integrate real estate initiatives seamlessly into the broader organizational framework. Maintain open communication to address stakeholder concerns and foster engagement at all levels.
  • Workplace Design & Space Planning: Lead efforts to create innovative, employee-centric workplace designs that promote productivity, collaboration, and employee satisfaction. Ensure all space planning decisions prioritize the efficient use of resources while meeting the evolving needs of the workforce. Partner with designers, architects, and internal teams to implement creative solutions that support T-Mobile’s culture and brand.
  • Sustainability Leadership: Champion the integration of sustainability into all aspects of real estate operations, including the adoption of energy-efficient technologies, renewable resources, and waste reduction practices. Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to implement environmentally responsible workplace solutions that enhance T-Mobile’s reputation as a socially responsible organization.
  • Financial Management & Budgeting: Establish and manage budgets for all real estate operations, ensuring alignment with corporate financial goals and efficient use of resources. Provide accurate forecasting and reporting to senior executives, enabling informed decision-making.

The Experience You’ll Bring

  • 7+ years Corporate Real Estate and related experience.
  • 7+ years Leadership experience, specifically leading large organizations.
  • Leadership & Team Management: Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams, managing external partners, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Communication Skills: Executive-level communication and presentation skills.
  • Critical Thinking: Capacity to analyze complex data, market trends, and financial analysis to inform strategic decisions.
  • Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of commercial real estate markets, trends, and legal frameworks.
  • Financial Acumen: Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and real estate financial modeling to support strategic decision-making.
  • Adaptability: Ability to navigate and lead through changing market conditions and organizational priorities.
  • Professional designation from CoreNet Global preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree & Master’s degree required.

Base Pay Range: $199,800 - $270,300

Corporate Bonus Target: 35%

The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as qualifications and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year.
