Sr Director, Product Marketing

The Senior Director of Product Marketing will lead product marketing for a suite of T-Mobile’s most important and differentiating products, including our Coverage Above & Beyond portfolio (satellite, international, in-flight, network slicing / prioritization), branded devices (REVVL and SyncUp families), and family-focused solutions (watch, kid’s first phone, protection solutions). As the product P&L owner, you’ll lead products through the lifecycle from inception to eol, defining strategy to increase revenue, profitability, differentiation and customer satisfaction for a range of yet-to-be-imaged products and existing products driving billions in enterprise value. You’ll set the product vision and work cross functionally to rally product management, GTM, creative, customer & acquisition marketing and others to your vision.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Product P&L Ownership (set QGP, monitor P&L scorecard, adjust as needed to achieve QGP, plan launch/GTM, coordinate x-functionally, conduct seller confidence survey, implement best practices for sales enablement to maximize uptake incl digital)

  • Product Evolution (set long range plans to drive product refresh to create value, business case development, customer/market fit analysis/insights)

  • Product Vision – New Territory Exploration (ID new growth territories, validate customer need & right to play, ID competitors, create value prop, partner w/ PM on dev strategy, secure funding to create)

  • Team Leadership (coach, develop direct reports; contribute to / lead overall PMM discipline evolution at TMUS)

  • Also responsible for other Duties/Projects as assigned by business management as needed. (NON-NEGOTITABLE)

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree (Required)

Work Experience:

  • More than 10 years Product Marketing or Product Management experience especially related to consumer focused technology products (Required)

  • Less than 2 years Work within a subscription business (Preferred)

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Business Acumen: Drive insights, see trends, develop causal theories and action plans from financial reports. Deep business understanding to set daily/quarterly targets and drive actions to achieve them. (Required)

  • Technology Acumen: Deep technical literacy, including new technologies, and technical limitations to make recommendations for capabilities to deliver. (Required)

  • Customer Empathy: Strong ability to understand diverse customer perspectives, translate research into customer insights to drive product capabilities. (Required)

  • Storytelling: Expertise in crafting and sharing the product story – value proposition, customer value, positioning – in a way that sticks. Articulate and rally teams to a compelling product vision. (Required)

  • Collaboration Rally cross-functional teams to drive product priorities. (Required)

Base Pay Range: $220,700 - $298,500

Corporate Bonus Target: 35%

The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as qualifications and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year.
