Sr Engineers, SDET located in Frisco, TX will conduct testing of software products using prescribed testing approaches and procedures.

Position duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Prepare Manual Test Cases, Test Plans, and Traceability Matrix to make sure software is prepared as per the requirements;

  • Prepare automation scripts;

  • Create test data files with valid and invalid records to thoroughly test program logic and verify system flow;

  • Conduct detailed procedures and records results of tests and may maintain records of testing;

  • Alert engineers/analysts to problems in software or hardware;

  • Conduct a wide range of quality-control tests and analysis to ensure that software meets or exceeds specified standards and end-user requirements;

  • Execute the most complex tests according to test plans and scripts, document problems in an issue log, and retest software corrections to ensure problems are resolved;

  • Draft and revise more complex test plans and scripts;

  • Perform backend testing;

  • Identify, recommend, and implement changes to enhance the effectiveness of quality assurance strategies;

  • Serve as a Quality Assurance Lead and coordinate activities of the test team and assist in monitoring project schedules and costs; and

  • Lead offshore and onshore contract testing resources and interface with project and program managers to provide status, maintain schedules, and raise issues/risks to management.

Skill requirements:

(1): Experience in manual and automation testing to validate the software product using tools including selenium, LitmusT, silktest tool, or QTP (Quick Test Professional).

(2): Experience in writing automation test scripts using hybrid framework guidelines with a combination of data driven and keyword driven frameworks.

(3): Experience in designing test plans and test cases using Black box, White box and Grey box testing techniques, and creating models to generate test cases using tools including ARD Tool (Agile Requirement Designer).

(4): Experience in driving testing deliverables, conducting tests and inspections, prepare reports and calculations to deliver quality products and solutions using tools including JIRA, Rally Project Management tools, Test Lodge, Qtest, or ALM (Application lifecycle management tool).

(5): Experience in Database Testing using tools, including SQL Database.

(6): Experience in web services testing using SOAP UI or Postman.

Experience and education requirements:

• PRIMARY REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree in Computer Science or related, and 3 years of relevant work experience.

• ALTERNATIVE REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related, and 5 years of relevant work experience.

Telecommuting is permitted, but applicants must live within a reasonable commuting distance.

    OTHER:  Work hours: 40 hours/week. Salary: $126,131 to $139,800/year.

    Candidate’s pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience. At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance.
