Job OverviewAs the Senior Manager of Inventory Operations, you will lead the strategy, execution, and continuous improvement of inventory management across retail and supply chain networks. You will be responsible for ensuring optimal stock levels, reducing shrink, improving inventory turns, and enabling best-in-class customer experiences through product availability.
This role requires a data-driven leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about transforming traditional inventory practices with forward-thinking strategies. You will collaborate cross-functionally with Retail, Merchandising, Finance, Logistics, and Technology teams to align operations with broader business goals.
Job Responsibilities:
- Inventory Strategy & Optimization
- Design and implement comprehensive inventory management strategies that improve accuracy, availability, and efficiency across all channels.
- Lead forecasting, allocation, and replenishment processes in partnership with planning and merchandising teams.
- Monitor KPIs (turns, fill rate, shrink, OOS) and initiate corrective actions based on performance insights.
- Data-Driven Decision Making
- Leverage advanced analytics and reporting tools to provide insight into demand patterns, product performance, and inventory health.
- Translate data into actionable business strategies that reduce waste and increase profitability.
- Champion the use of data science, automation, and AI/ML models to forecast demand and inform decisions.
- Transformative Operations Leadership
- Reimagine legacy processes and tools, bringing a continuous improvement mindset to all aspects of inventory control.
- Partner with Product and Technology teams to design scalable, automated solutions for inventory visibility and control.
- Lead change management and training efforts to drive adoption of new systems and workflows across field teams.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Act as a key liaison between Supply Chain, Retail Ops, and Finance to align on inventory plans, budget goals, and operational impact.
- Influence and inform senior leadership with clear communication and compelling business cases.
- Team Leadership & Development
- Lead and develop a high-performing team of inventory analysts and operations managers.
- Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and innovation.
Education and Work Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Analytics, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred. (Preferred)
- 4-7 years Management experience or a combination of 6+ years of people management and cross functional program leadership (in lieu of 5 years of people management experience). Required
- 2-4 years Project/program management experience. Required
- 3+ years of inventory, supply chain, or retail operations experience, with 3+ years in a people management role
- Proven success in managing large-scale, multi-location inventory programs.
- Deep expertise in ERP, OMS, or inventory management systems (SAP, Oracle, Manhattan, etc.).
- Advanced Excel and proficiency in data tools such as SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
- Strong analytical mindset with a passion for data and process transformation.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Experience in high-growth, omnichannel, or consumer tech/retail environments is a plus.

Base Pay Range: $113,900 - $205,500Corporate Bonus Target: 20%
The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.
At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance.
