Job Overview
This role leads the strategic and operational direction of executive protection to ensure the safety of senior leaders and high-profile individuals through direct services. It manages executive security, enterprise-wide protective intelligence, and event security functions to coordinate comprehensive security operations. The role also oversees the organization’s executive travel security policy and Technical Surveillance Countermeasures (TSCM) program, ensuring alignment with enterprise risk management and leadership continuity objectives. The role integrates threat investigations, security protocol development, and collaboration with law enforcement and intelligence networks to enhance protective measures. Success is measured by effective threat response, security program integration, budget management, and safe execution of executive events. The work impacts organizational risk posture and protects leadership, enabling secure business operations and stakeholder confidence.

** This is a hybrid role (minimum 3 days/week in the office) and travel 50-75%. Our preferred location is Overland Park, KS but may consider Bellevue, WA **

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead executive protection and protective intelligence operations to mitigate risks for senior leaders and high-profile individuals
  • Oversee planning and execution of security measures for enterprise-wide events to ensure safe and compliant operations
  • Manage threat investigations and coordinate responses to security incidents involving executive leadership
  • Develop and enforce security standards and training programs to maintain consistent protective practices
  • Oversee and govern the executive travel security policy, ensuring appropriate risk dispersion, continuity planning, and alignment with leadership travel practices
  • Lead and maintain the Technical Surveillance Counter Measures (TSCM) program, including strategy, vendor management, and execution of counter-surveillance activities
  • Maintain relationships with government, industry, and intelligence partners to support threat detection and mitigation
  • Manage operational budgets and vendor relationships to support security program effectiveness and efficiency


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 7–10 years of progressive experience in security, risk management, or protective services.
  • 4–7 years of experience leading, developing, and managing high-performing teams.
  • 4–7 years of experience supporting executive or dignitary protection programs.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, resources, and operational priorities effectively.
  • Strong leadership presence with a track record of coaching, mentoring, and developing talent.
  • Business-minded with solid financial acumen and the ability to align security strategies to organizational priorities.
  • Deep understanding of the evolving global security landscape and risk environment across multiple geographies.
  • Ability to operate with discretion, sound judgment, and adaptability in dynamic, high-pressure environments.
  • Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation and respond to urgent or emergent situations as needed.
  • Working knowledge of technical surveillance threats and countermeasure programs (preferred).

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Executive Protection School (Preferred)
  • Security Driver School (Preferred)
  • TCSM Certified (Preferred)

Base Pay Range: $117,800 - $212,500

Corporate Bonus Target: 20%

The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.

At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year.
