As the Sr. Manager of Solutions Engineering, your responsibility will encompass leading a team of T-Mobile's Solutions Engineers who support sales professionals within the Enterprise & Strategic sales teams. Our premier Solutions Engineering team possesses deep expertise in Business IT environments. The T-Mobile Solution Engineering (SE) team comprises individuals with proven success in data networking, system administration, and security, enabling effective communication with T-Mobile's business clients on their terms. Concurrently, each SE has cultivated in-depth knowledge within the wireless networking domain and can assist T-Mobile’s engineering teams as wireless data experts in their respective markets.

The Sr. Solutions Engineering Manager often engages in senior-level presentations to T-Mobile's strategic clients, offering the managerial insight necessary to aid sales teams in closing key accounts. This role focuses on Sales/Product strategies, including initiatives aimed at driving profitability and safeguarding and expanding the Enterprise and Strategic account base. This leader will maintain strategic partnerships with business collaborators to meet company objectives effectively. Internal collaborations will include interactions with Engineering, Product Development, Marketing, Sales, and Training leadership teams.

They will be evaluated on their ability to: close sales in partnership with field sales on solution-based opportunities; provide specialist solution sales support for all solutions offered in IoT, Security, Collaboration, and HSI. They will lead a team of SEs and personally oversee the solution design for our most intricate opportunities.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide alignment and support to a group of Enterprise clients, including Fortune 1000 and Global 500 companies, within a specific geographic region
  • Participate in client meetings including Executive Breifings and onsite at client locations
  • Enable coverage options and create suitable solutions for client review
  • Collaborate with clients to develop and expand solutions, achieve business objectives, and overcome technical challenges
  • Present and differentiate current & future state of T-Mobile’s Network capabilities & product roadmap
  • Demonstrate core and valued-added solutions to clients.
  • Provide technical guidance and expertise for client Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and bids.
  • Collaborate with the Sales team on products and solutions to enhance sales performance at the regional & national levels
  • Participate in client quarterly business reviews and account planning sessions
  • Own client technical relationships and executive engagements
  • Support and manage the successful outcome of client pilots & proof of concepts

  • Education:
  • High School Diploma/GED (Required)
  • Bachelor's Degree (Stem area of study strongly preferred)

  • Work Experience:
  • 10 years Wireless technology with broad understanding of product development, marketing, sales and service models. ()
  • 5-7 years Prior Leadership Experience (required)

  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Technical Leadership
  • Project Management
  • Communication: Excellent oral and written communications; strong interpersonal skills.
  • Sales: Experience with Sales Methodologies.
  • Applications: Proficiency with business application software.
  • Strategic Leadership: Ability to provide strategic direction in a leadership role.

Total Target Cash Pay Range: $160,700 - $289,800, inclusive of target incentives

Base Pay Range: $112,490 - $202,860

The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in this role. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.
