Job OverviewThe Unit Economics team builds datasets and develops models to forecast customer lifetime values (CLVs) across T-Mobile’s diverse lines of business. Business owners from across the enterprise use our metrics and insights to build cases, prioritize investments and assess the performance of products and channels.
As Sr Manager, Unit Economics you will be responsible for leading a team of 3-5 individual contributors as well as championing the use of UE around the company, including serving as the primary point-of-contract for business leaders around the company on UE related questions.
What you’ll do in your role:
- Set team direction and priorities in collaboration with Sr Director
- Assist in the creation and vetting of UE’s monthly publications, including primary responsibility for quality control and authoring commentary
- Perform ad hoc readouts to business leaders as requested
- Assist in the design, coding and implementation of new model logic, including taking over primary responsibility for line of business models when needed
- Maintain and enhance quality control tools and practices to ensure fidelity of UE forecasts
- Build and maintain a high performing team, including creating a positive team culture and supporting team member career growth ambitions
The experience you’ll bring:
- Bachelor’s degree required. Advanced degree in business, computer science, mathematics or similar subject areas strongly preferred
- At least 5-7 years demonstrated success in analytic and/or software development roles
- Prior people management experience preferred
- Fluent in SQL - able to write new code as well as interpret and modify complex existing code
- Adept at leading and manipulating large data sets
- High attention to detail and well-adapted approach to quality control
- Strong communication skills, including with executive audiences. Able to explain the “so what” as well as explain UE’s complex models and methodologies without technical jargon
- Proficient in Excel and other Office applications
- Experience with R, Tableau and similar tools a plus

The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.
At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance.
