The Sr. Manager, Data Engineering is located in Bellevue, WA and will manage a team of data engineers.Telecommuting is permitted, but applicant must work from the worksite location at least 3-4 days per week. No additional national or international travel is anticipated.
Position duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Create, manage, and communicate plans and roadmaps for the work of the Data Engineering team.
Provide thought leadership and technical and business solution advice to Data Engineer team members.
Work across multiple teams in high visibility roles and own the solution end-to-end. Interface with engineers, product managers, and product analysts to understand data needs.
Build framework for auditing, error logging and master data management for the team’s pipelines.
Collaborate on analysis, architecture, design, and development of data warehouse and business analytics solutions.

PRIMARY REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree in Computer and Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related, and 5 years of relevant work experience.
ALTERNATIVE REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Computer and Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related, and 7 years of relevant, post-Bachelor’s work experience.
Skills requirements: Must have professional experience in:
SQL: SQL and database management systems. Writing complex queries, creating and optimizing database structures, and handling data efficiently.
Hadoop & Spark: Hadoop ecosystem tools and Apache Spark for big data processing. Designing, developing, and implementing scalable solutions for large datasets.
Python: Python programming and developing robust and scalable applications. Data manipulation, scripting, and leveraging Python libraries for data-related tasks.
Airflow & GitHub: Apache Airflow for orchestrating complex workflows and scheduling tasks. Version control using GitHub, enabling collaboration, managing repositories, and tracking changes efficiently.
AWS: Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud platform. Deploying, managing, and optimizing various services offered by AWS for data-related solutions.
Tableau & PowerBI: Data visualization using Tableau and/or Power BI. Creating interactive and insightful dashboards, reports, and visual representations from complex datasets for effective data-driven decision-making.

The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the state listed. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience.

Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance, while Retail and Business Sales roles are eligible for monthly or quarterly sales incentives.
