We are seeking a strategic, analytically driven leader to own our device portfolio strategy and planning. As the Sr. Device Portfolio Strategy & Analytics Lead, you will sit at the intersection of product, finance, sourcing, and commercial strategy—guiding the development and execution of our handset roadmap across all tiers and lines of business (LOBs).This role is central to advancing a data-driven, customer-aligned portfolio while ensuring operational excellence and market competitiveness. You'll be responsible for translating market dynamics, performance insights, and cross-functional inputs into a clear device strategy for our internal partners and executive leadership alike—including quarterly slot planning, financial trade-offs, and sourcing decisions that fuel T-Mobile’s product success.

Responsibilities:
Portfolio Strategy & Slot Planning
- Lead quarterly device portfolio planning, defining device mix and slot allocation across all channels and customer segments.
- Align device decisions with company strategy, LOB input, market forecasts, competitive analysis, and OEM capabilities.
- Develop clear slot strategies that balance cost, innovation, and customer value.
- Apply forecasting models, Power BI or other dashboards, and customer/product metrics to shape portfolio-level decisions and roadmap development.
- Introduce and scale processes for strategic performance reviews and continuous portfolio optimization.
Strategic Insights & Business Case Development
- Assess/build robust, KPI-rich business cases for device slots, investments, pricing strategies, and sourcing decisions.
- Apply forecasting models, performance analytics, and scenario planning to influence slot and roadmap decisions.
- Act as a “translator” between financial data and technical data teams to business/product partners ensuring actionable insights are applied to real-world decisions.
- Analyze and interpret pricing models and rate plans to identify financial implications and portfolio optimization opportunities.
Cross-Functional Leadership & OEM Alignment
- Partner with LOBs, Finance, Strategic Sourcing, Commercial Strategy, and Product teams to ensure roadmap alignment and trade-off decisions.
- Support sourcing processes and RFPs through strategic input, vendor evaluations, and scenario-based decision frameworks.
Performance Storytelling & Communication
- Deliver compelling narratives and visualizations that clarify portfolio performance, slot performance, and strategic recommendations.
- Drive strategic alignment in executive forums and quarterly LOB reviews with data-backed storytelling.
- Collaborate with senior leaders on business and product strategy, ensuring alignment with financial and operational goals.
Digital Fulfillment & Emerging Strategy Support
- Explore and support strategies that enable non-stocked and digitally fulfilled device experiences—optimizing our portfolio for flexibility, speed, and cost-efficiency across all customer segments and sales channels.
- Partner with internal teams to explore new initiatives like AI-integrated devices, REVVL ecosystem, and 5G innovations.
- Work closely with LOBs, product managers, finance, sourcing, and operations teams to align on goals, assess outcomes, and optimize execution.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years in product strategy, sourcing, or analytics roles—preferably in device, telecom, or portfolio-heavy environments.
- Shown success in portfolio strategy, roadmap planning, or category management.
- Demonstrated ability to convert complex data sets into executive-level narratives and decisions
- Expertise in data visualization and analysis tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Excel, SQL a plus)
- Experience with financial modeling, rate plan structures, and scenario-based planning
- Deep understanding of device sourcing, rate plan impacts, and end-to-end product lifecycle.
- Exceptional communicator, able to influence across technical, business, and executive audiences.
- Experience translating data into clear strategies and leading trade-offs in fast-paced environments.
- Strong eye for business and critical thinking, with a clear grasp of end-to-end product lifecycle management
- Confirmed operational leadership experience, including setting up frameworks for KPI tracking and performance reviews
- Exceptional communication skills—written, verbal, and visual
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Analytics, or related field (MBA preferred).
Preferred Background:
- Experience as a product strategist, business operations lead, or financial analyst in a tech-enabled, customer-focused industry
- Strong familiarity with agile product development environments and cross-functional team collaboration
- Known as a problem solver, change agent, and strategic partner to the business

Base Pay Range: $121,600 - $219,400Corporate Bonus Target: 20%
The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.
At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance.
