Contributes to T-Mobile's success by delivering and implementing large, complex, enterprise-level programs and projects that improve profitability, reduce costs, streamline operations, or enhance service to the business and customers. This role involves high-level engagement and collaboration with cross-functional business and technology development teams to solve problems and implement innovative solutions. Effectively communicates with executive leadership, such as Vice Presidents (VP) and Senior Vice Presidents (SVP), providing regular updates on project status, risks, and opportunities. Presents complex information in a clear and concise manner to facilitate decision-making.
Job Responsibilities:
Governance Structure and Business Partnership: Define the governance structure and partner with the Business Sponsor to outline the scope, sequencing, goals, and objectives of the project. Ensure alignment with business priorities and strategic objectives. Projects typically involve budgets exceeding $10 million, durations of over 12 months, and collaboration across multiple departments.
- Creates program / project framework for decision-making, accountability, and oversight throughout the lifecycle of a program. Defines roles, responsibilities, and processes for ensuring the program's objectives are met effectively and efficiently.
- Creates / Identifies key artifacts that are required for updates, reviews, approvals, etc. according to company standards and processes
Team Assembly and Cross-Functional Collaboration: Assembles key players on the project team and nurture internal working relationships across the enterprise to foster the development of cross-functional teamwork. Delegates project responsibilities and task interfaces, direct, motivate, and manage the project work and resources involved.
Project Planning and Scheduling: Partners with Business and Technology teams to create work breakdown structures and develop, update project schedules/plans with actual and forecasted deliverables. Manages deviations from the plan and analyzes the validity of schedules submitted by external contributors. Distributes schedules in various formats and levels of detail to suit different users or audiences. Monitors actual project progress, compares it to the baseline, and reports progress against the schedule. Document, obtain approval for, and track all changes in project parameters. Produces detailed reports and notifications as needed and communicate project status to respective stakeholders and the project sponsor.
Executive and Team-Level Communication: Ensures effective communication of project and program status at both the executive and team levels.
- Defines communication channels and frequency, ensuring transparent reporting, and managing stakeholder expectations.
- Ensures that communication is timely, efficient, and clear, helping to manage expectations, mitigate risks, opportunities for addressing issues, making decisions, sharing updates, and foster collaboration.
Risk and Issue Management: Identifies risks and issues that could or are impacting the success of the project or program:
- Creates a centralized document where all identified risks and issues are tracked, along with their status, impact, next steps, mitigation strategies, and assigned owners.
- Regularly conducting and reviewing program risks and issues. Engaging team members and stakeholders to uncover potential threats, developing mitigation plans, and making sure issues are escalated and resolved in a timely manner.
- Assesses their potential impact and likelihood to determine which risks and issues require the most attention.
- Formulates strategies to mitigate, avoid, transfer, or accept risks based on thorough assessments, aiming to minimize adverse effects or leverage potential opportunities.
Business Launch: Responsible for identifying all pre-launch, release day and post-launch activities, coordinating various tasks, ensuring that all stakeholders are aligned. and that the project stays on track. Their expertise in planning, risk management, and communication is essential for a successful launch.
Project Closure and Documentation: Upon project completion or premature cessation, close all project documentation and archive appropriate records and achievements for estimating future similar projects. Coordinate the practical details of transferring the care, custody, and control of the final product, including the assembly and transfer of operational and maintenance documentation. Provide recommendations based on lessons learned for improvements in processes and procedures both within the project management structure and across groups.
Also responsible for other Duties/Projects as assigned by business management as needed.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in computer Science, Business Administration, Project Management or combination of equivalent experience and education ()
Work Experience:
4-7 years Industry experience as a program or product manager within a technology environment, with a progressive record of successful delivery of complex solutions, systems, or services. (Required)
Experience working on projects in a wireless industry. (Preferred)
7-10 years Experience (Strongly Preferred)

Base Pay Range: $94,100 - $169,700Corporate Bonus Target: 15%
The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.
At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance.
