Job OverviewThe Sr. Workforce Planning Consultant delivers critical insights and actionable workforce plans to guide business growth and operational success. This role serves as a pivotal partner in translating complex enterprise strategies into workforce solutions that align with organizational objectives, financial commitments, and operational needs.
The Sr. Consultant facilitates collaboration and fosters trust across HR, Finance, and business teams to ensure cross-functional alignment on strategic workforce initiatives. The Workforce Planning Consultant conducts detailed analysis, identifies trends, and leverages advanced workforce analytics and scenario planning to address workforce gaps and opportunities.
Using a data-driven approach, the Sr. Workforce Planning Consultant communicates complex data, logic, and solutions clearly and concisely to senior leadership, influencing data-driven decisions and driving quantifiable outcomes. The role encourages the team to engage cross-functionally at all levels, driving workforce strategy adoption and execution while identifying continuous improvement opportunities. By leveraging strategic insights, metrics, data visualization, advanced analytics, and stakeholder collaboration, the Workforce Planning Consultant plays a critical role in shaping business growth, enhancing operational efficiency, anticipating and addressing future skill gaps, and ensuring workforce plans are adaptable to a dynamic business environment.
** This is a hybrid role (3 days/week in the office) and can be based in Bellevue, WA; Overland Park, KS; or Frisco, TX **
Job Responsibilities
- Provides leadership to influence and design strategic workforce planning vision of the business unit/function. Performs detailed analyses, models workforce scenarios, translates analysis into meaningful business insights and makes recommendations to drive strategic decisions.
- Nurtures and maintains key internal partnerships. Proactively pursues relationships across teams to develop comprehensive understanding of critical workforce needs, identifies key issues, and structures problem-solving approaches accordingly. Fosters collaboration and communication cross-functionally to help build agreement and influence workforce strategy.
- Oversees the creation and delivery of executive-level presentations. Uses data storytelling and data visualization to convey recommendations in a clear, concise and decision-impacting manner.
- Mentors and advises partners on best practices. Fosters a growth mindset. Maintains up-to-date knowledge of strategic frameworks, industry trends, and corporate and customer drivers.
- Develops standard reports and delivers regular reviews, including monthly operational reports and quarterly business reviews, to assess and refine workforce strategies
- Drives continuous improvement of workforce planning processes, tools, and systems, ensuring optimal efficiency and data integrity.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Statistics, or related field; Masters/Advanced degree in Finance, Strategy, or Economics a plus
- 7-+ years strategy experience in framing complex problems, identifying key issues that impact business decisions and providing data driven recommendations.
- 7+ years experience in developing financial models and performing financial and operating analysis and reporting, including analyzing complex data.
- Up to 2 years of project management experience, managing projects independently, engaging and getting consensus in from partners, creating roadmaps and project plans.
- Management consulting, corporate strategy, investment banking experience preferred
- Ability to frame problems, use strategic frameworks, develop strategies.
- Knowledge and understanding of business models, pricing strategies, channel management.
- Ability to build financial models and develop qualitative analysis, perform sensitivity analysis.
- Ability to think a few steps ahead, to lay out thoughtful and achievable project plans in a disciplined manner. Understand how to engage others and what information and data is needed to achieve goals.
- Ability to synthesize analysis into succinct, executive-ready written, visual, and verbal communications. Ability to articulate rationale and present in front of senior leaders.
- Ability to think through complex problems.
- Knowledge of the wireless / telecom industry and technology sector preferred.

Base Pay Range: $113,100 - $204,000Corporate Bonus Target: 20%
The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.
At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance.
