At T-Mobile Secure Federal Operations (TSFO), we focus on developing innovative solutions for sensitive customers within the U.S. Government. The Contracts & Capture Management (C&CM) team is responsible for proposal development and contract administration. We take opportunities identified by the Business Development team through the full proposal process, including but not limited to identifying requirements and evaluating TSFO’s compliance with all terms and conditions, working with subject matter experts to prepare the technical response, and assisting finance with pricing. We also manage the relationships with any teaming partners to include executing subcontracts, negotiating pricing, assessing their compliance and eligibility to support our customer base and so on. Once a contract is executed, the C&CM team serves as the Contracting Officer’s POC for all contract-related matters.

This is a hybrid position required to be working in our Herndon, VA office at least 2 days a week.

The C&CM intern will work with individuals from a variety of business units within TSFO and gain practical experience in both Government contracting and the wireless industry. Specifically, they will participate in proposal efforts and contract procurement and administration. This may include outlining requirements, researching regulations, identifying risks, coordinating resources, and engaging with partners, among other tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the team with tasks related to contract procurement and negotiation.

  • Review requests for proposals to identify requirements, constraints, etc.

  • Assist with formatting and editing of proposals.

  • Managing project schedules, reaching out to resources (subject matter experts, partners, etc.) as needed to keep the project on track.

Qualifications

  • Must have graduated within the last 12-months, OR be actively enrolled in a Bachelors or Graduate degree program

  • Interest in proposal development and contract administration.

  • Considering a career in law or Government.

  • Strong communication and writing/editing skills.

  • Proficiency with the standard Microsoft Office suite (i.e., Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).

  • Fast learner and self-starter.

  • At least 18 years of age

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States

  • US Citizenship (without dual citizenship) required

  • Must be able to obtain a US security clearance 

T-Mobile requires U.S. citizenship for certain roles within the organization. This role requires U.S. citizenship. Individuals hired into this role will be required to submit documentation proving U.S. citizenship within the first 7 days of hire - failure to do so will result in termination.

Intern wages range from $20/hour to $40/hour. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on experience/location.
