Advertising Operations Manager

Advertising Solutions is T-Mobile’s fast-growing advertising technology business. It leverages high-quality mobile data from the T-Mobile network that enables advertisers to build audience segments based on app ownership and usage insights. This position is responsible for developing and executing advertising programs and monetization strategies for T-Ads and its clients. The Supply Operations Manager is a skilled practitioner in monetization techniques and their application via execution and enablement platforms within the T-Ads advertising stack. As part of the Media Monetization Strategy & Success organization, they work collaboratively across the organization to achieve the best outcomes through execution excellence.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Build and execute monetization strategies for owned and operated media utilizing first and third-party platforms to maximize yield and/or achieve client outcomes with digital media. 
  • Develops, conducts, and monitors configuration tests including ad formats and SSP integration and placements experiments to reveal optimal supply configuration to meet revenue goals. 
  • Identify product gaps, technical challenges, and poor performance through data analysis and troubleshooting, provides actionable insights to internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Assist in communication with external partners and cross-functional teams, detailing optimization plans and action items to support Demand and Development Partners to drive revenue efficiencies.
  • Gain and maintain overall industry knowledge, product expertise, and best practices. Share knowledge formally and informally with team members and the larger T-Ads organization. 


Education and Work Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree Communications, Advertising, Marketing, STEM (Required)
  • 3-4 years of experience in Ad Operations with a detailed understanding of header bidding, SSPs, APS. Experience in either a publisher or an advertising agency is required.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strategic Thinking Capable of analyzing results and providing strategic plans to drive business growth (Required)
  • Communication Must be an effective communicator to facilitate TMS goals in an external environment (Preferred)
  • Advertising Knowledge of the advertising industry as well as opinions and projections for its future (Required)
  • Digital Marketing Online, digital marketing experience (Preferred)


Licenses and Certifications:

  • One or more: DMP, SSP, DSPs relevant certification; Google Ad Manager certification, The Trade Desk programmatic ads certification, etc. (Required)

Base Pay Range: $61,600 - $111,100

Corporate Bonus Target: 10%

The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.

At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year.
