Technical Product Manager - Finance Data & Reporting

As a Technology Product Manager on the Accounting Data and Reporting team, this role plays a key part in shaping and delivering high-impact data and reporting solutions within the Finance, Procurement, and Supply Chain ecosystem. The position supports the end-to-end product lifecycle, works closely with cross-functional partners, and translates business needs into scalable, efficient technology solutions. Ideal for professionals with a couple years of product management experience in large organizations, this opportunity offers growth in a data-driven and highly collaborative environment. The role partners with senior product leaders and executives, engineering leaders, and cross-function business stakeholders to deliver data and reporting products that drive accuracy, transparency, efficiency and incremental value to accounting or other finance stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Own a defined product or feature set within a broader product area, with guidance from a Senior TPM.
  • Contribute to product vision by collecting requirements, validating pain points, and shaping roadmaps.
  • Advocate for a customer-centric approach, ensuring user needs are represented throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Serve as the intake and coordination point for accounting product requests and enhancements.
  • Prioritize the product backlog in collaboration with developers, business partners, and PM peers.
  • Participate in product grooming and sprint planning sessions with engineering teams.
  • Track team capacity and delivery milestones in partnership with project and delivery managers.
  • Support development of return on investment cases with input from senior PMs and business analysts.
  • Coordinate product releases and ensure clear, proactive communication to stakeholders.
  • Provide timely and thorough documentation of product functionality and changes.
  • Engage in team support channels and help resolve stakeholder inquiries.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Product Management, Computer Science, Information Systems, Accounting, or an equivalent (required).
  • Foundational knowledge of financial reporting or accounting concepts is a significant plus.

Work Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in product management, business analysis, or a related technical role (required).
  • Experience supporting or contributing to enterprise data or financial reporting tools is (preferred).

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Foundational understanding of the product development lifecycle and agile delivery methodologies.
  • Familiarity with accounting principles, business processes, and financial systems.
  • Advanced SQL skills to support data validation and troubleshooting efforts.
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
  • Growth-oriented approach, openness to feedback, and motivation to advance into a senior product role.
  • Solid understanding of visualization and dashboarding best practices.
  • Proficiency with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and data visualization platforms like Power BI, ThoughtSpot, or Tableau.

Base Pay Range: $103,400 - $186,400

Corporate Bonus Target: 15%

The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.

At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year.
